BIG Question Abstract

The internet has changed society in many different ways.  It has changed our thoughts, actions and even personal appearance.  There has been a recent study conducted in England telling us that kids are actually happier with their virtual lives more than their regular lives.  Kids can be whoever they want to be when they are in their virtual lives.  Nicholas Carr author of The Shallows says that the internet is changing the way we concentrate and think. He says that it is starting to sway our thinking to stupidity, changing the way we read and concentrate on our work.  Carr also says that the internet is actually rewiring our brains.  People need to research this study because we need to know if we are causing ourselves to become stupid and obese from the internet.  We need to know if there is a way to change what the internet is starting to make us as people.  The internet is causing us to become angrier more stupid and obese, we need to change this as soon as possible.

  1. I like how you refer to both a study done and an author, it shows that it's not just your person opinion but backed up by research.
