Great Expectations

The title of Great Expectations by Charles Dickens basically represents how Pip, the main character has great expectations of recieving money upon his majority, which is just a baisc literal meaning to it.  Pip, an orphan,who lives with his sister and her husband. One day Pip meets a lawyer who tells him that he has money coming or "great expectations" and that he has to get a different education since he will become rich.
